Hatley on Main, originally known as "The Byrd's Florist and Catering" is your "one stop
shop" for a beautiful and elegant wedding. Our company was established in the early
1970's by Mrs. Ruth Byrd and the late Bill Byrd. After retiring in 1983, Judy Byrd
Bumgarner and husband Keith continued the business and have expanded to an average of
70 weddings per year.
After 35 years, we are stretching our wings and stepping out into a new venture of opening
a facility* in downtown historic district of Gastonia, N.C. We will be able to house
weddings, receptions, luncheons, or dinners.
Cubie and Lovie Hatley of Pittsboro, North Carolina were the great grandparents of Judy.
They were wonderful, loving, godly people. It is because of them that we are able to
expand our vision.
We are honoring our family and have therefore changed the name of the business to
Hatley on Main. As we honor our family, we would also like to honor God as we offer this
building as smoke-free and alcohol-free facility.
